We want people to think about what we do as a church and not just do things out of tradition. To understand the WHY behind what we do. To turn our thinking upside down…which is actually right side up to Jesus.
In Luke 12:49-53 (MSG), Jesus said – “I’ve come to start a fire on this earth—how I wish it were blazing right now! I’ve come to change everything, turn everything right-side up (not upside down) —how I long for it to be finished! Do you think I came to smooth things over and make everything nice? Not so. I’ve come to disrupt and confront!”
As we start the new year, there is a method to our madness with ReThink in 2020! The pastors and leadership team have put together a set of “RE” words. We want people to think about what we do as a church and not just do things out of tradition. To understand the WHY behind what we do. To turn our thinking upside down… which is actually right side up to Jesus.
We will be using these “RE” words to keep you focused on your walk with God during 2020. You will see and hear us referring to these intentional words for upcoming holidays, fast and pray, our communications, baptisms, communion, bible-based classes, special events, fundraising, during Sunday messages, on our website, in our blogs, on our social media pages, in our emails, etc.
We encourage you to start using these “RE” words in your daily vocabulary to yourself, your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors to reset people’s minds into positive thinking and action for God. Let’s all get on the same page at c3 Church on 78! It will be fun to catch someone else saying a “RE” word.
Take a look at this year’s suggested “RE” words that we will all be communicating. We have listed the key “RE” word to be used with an event or concept. Next to this, you will see additional “RE” words that can be used along with it. Have fun with it!
