Power of Prayer: Why You Should Pray for One Another

Do you know you have the power inside you right now to get everything you’ve ever wanted and to help everyone you love with anything they are going through? When we use the power of prayer we are calling on the key to God’s blessing.

God’s Power Makes Itself Shown When We Embrace The Power of Prayer

Prayer is the gift that God provided us to connect with Him from Earth. By tapping into the power of prayer we are tapping into the source of miracles. God answers prayers in mysterious and awe-inspiring ways.

Praying together as a group is one of the most powerful forces on Earth because it’s tapping into the center that is given to us through God.

Speaking Our Wishes and Needs Aloud Makes Them Heard

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” John 5:14

God is waiting to hear our prayers and remembers every word. When many people come together to pray for a common purpose a sort of magic happens. The already powerful force becomes magnified through everyone’s common focus.

It is our duty as Christians to pray for our fellowship in their time of need. “Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.” James 5:13

How Do I Tap Into The Power of Prayer?

The power of prayer is not the direct result of the person praying but lies in the power that resides in God who you’re praying to. We cannot access this power through formulas or the magic of man.

Our prayers being answered does not depend on how well the prayer is formatted or the actual words that are spoken. God can interpret your heart even if the words are weak and confused. We pray because that is our direct line of communication with God.

Speak to Him like you would a dear friend and He will hear your heart.

“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.” Psalm 107:28-30

What Kind of Things Should I Pray For?

When you first start a prayer practice you might be at a loss of what to say. You might feel foolish or think it seems silly.

The best way to start in these instances is by using the words of the Lord to get you started. Matthew 6:9-13 is better known as the Lord’s Prayer. This is a great place to start if you’re just getting used to the idea of talking to God every day.

Once you’re used to the idea and practice of speaking from your heart to the Lord other words will come and you’ll have developed your own relationship with Him in prayer.

There are no rules on what you can and cannot pray for. The key is to share your heart with the Lord and He will give you all that belongs in His plan for your life.

Prayer is More Powerful As a Group

The best way to get the power of prayer going strong is to come together in fellowship to pray together. By joining our church service on Sundays you are adding more power to the group and allow more prayers to be heard by the Lord.
