Do you fear death? Or do you fear much more for losing the ones you love to it? This is normal, absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. Practically everybody fears something that they don’t know about or aren’t sure of. We fear death because for some it means an ending while for some it brings up fears of the unknown.
The following bible verses about family, and death of loved ones offers us insight and comfort. May these Bible verses about family aid in easing the pain of those grieving for their loved ones.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.”
It’s in God’s plan for us to go through great turmoil and grief and also amazing joy and celebration. Take comfort that the sun will rise after every storm.
“And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds, and he was baptized at once, he and all his family. Then he brought them up into his house and set food before them. And he rejoiced along with his entire household that he had believed in God.”
If we, and our whole families, believe in Jesus then we will be saved and there is nothing to fear.
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
This is the promise of faith. The promise of a welcoming embrace when it is your time to be called home.
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”
There is plenty of room for the faithful in God’s home, he promises us there is.
“They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the work of their hands.”
Take solace that this time at home is a gift. Build up your home and property. Do more to make your house a home. Enjoy your family. Don’t dwell in worry or fear.
